It can be done!

You CAN fit three boosters seats in the backseat of a Cavalier! Unfortunately, I had to do this because the truck was in an accident this morning. And of course it had to be the day when I had a million errands to run. So here we are, getting ready to take Daddy to work so I could use the car.

  1. Hi June,
About the applique quilt you asked about:

I don't have the original quilt anymore, it was a gift. I made it up as I went along. The blocks may have varied from 6 to 10 inches. The smaller animals had larger borders and vice versa so that they would all fit in rows together.

As far as how much smaller the appliques should be than the background blocks, I think around 2/3 of the block size is a nice proportion, or slightly larger or smaller depending on the style you're looking for. They shouldn't be too tiny looking or too crowded though. You could try cutting out a few different sized appliques and backgrounds, then mix and match to find out the look you like best.
