Goofing Around in the Backyard

(Click on photo to see album)
We ate dinner outside and then goofed around. The trips LOVE to be outside and, of course, with us.

Eva Rode a Bike!

Eva went to the neighbors house to play and she wanted to ride a bike. We haven't bought her one yet because she hasn't been able to use the pedals on her big wheel. Well, it didn't take her long before she figured out how to pedal Bella's bike and a little while later, how to steer and pedal at the same time! Way to go Eva! We're soooo proud of you!

Kenosha Parents of Multiples Spring Fling Picnic

It was a beautiful day for a picnic as we went to the local multiples Spring picnic. They had an egg hunt for the kids, which Eva loved. It was nice to get out and meet other families with lots of kids. There were only 5 families there, but about 20 kids!

Church Carnival

Church Carnival

(Click on photo to see album)

Tonight, we went to the carnival at church. Eva had a great time. It was the first time that she had her face painted, and she looked GREAT! She won (and ate) lots of candy and danced, danced, danced. Yup, she was one tired little girl by the time to go home.

It was nice out, so we went to the park, but Eddie and Joey fell asleep in the truck, so it was just the girls at the park.

Trips 1 year appt

The trips had their 1 yr appt. Eddie is now 22 lbs and 30", Ella is
18 lbs and 28", and Joseph is 15 lbs and 27". Joseph did not gain any
weight or height since his 9 mos appt! So the dr recommended a
private therapist group since the therapist with EI is obviously not
working! She also wants Ella to be seen by them since she did gain
weight, but lost 1 lb since her rsv appt a month ago. It's been about
a month that she has refused to eat off a spoon, she keeps her lips
pressed shut but she will eat some table food, but not a lot. she
started waking up at midnight and at 3 and then at 7 again for
bottles and this is not making me happy!! lol Joey, who knows what
his problem is. The prevacid is working, he hardly spits up anymore,
so he's keeping all that he's eating, but I can't get him to eat off
of a spoon w/out a big drama. He's also refusing his food bottle, he
just spits it out. I'm so frustrated, I mean, who knew eating was
soooo hard? And I'm worried about this little guy, I'm so scared that
he's not going to make it and no one is going to know what his
problem is.
And if that's not enough, they all have ear infections in the same
ear as the last two times, so I had to schedule a hearing test and an
ear recheck with the ENT. So I scheduled the hearing test and then I
called the ENT dr (I have his direct # bc of my oldest) and I asked
them if there was anyway I could add on 3 kids to my oldest's appt in
May. She was able to do it, so now he's going to see 4 kids at once!
hee, hee, lucky guy! ka-ching! I think we should be invited to his
summer home!

The babies turned 1 today! Hard to believe that a whole year has gone by. Their adj. age is really 9 1/2 mos and Ella and Joey were really acting it because all they did was cry. They wouldn't eat their cupcakes at all. Eddie wanted to know what all the fuss was about!

How Brown Kitty Became "Real"

Brown Kitty came into our lives via a McDonald's Happy Meal in May of '05. If I could have forseen how important this kitty would become, I would have bought several more!! He fit very nicely in Eva's hand and when I asked her what his name was, she looked at me and said, "Brown Kitty". She carried him EVERYWHERE, which became a problem because he's so small, he's hard to find! Compounding the problem is that my daughter is an airhead and when you would ask her when she last had him, she'd look up at you with big sad eyes and say, "I don't know". grrrrr Because of that, we have done our fair share of searching for this little guy. Let's see, he's been found buried in the sandbox, buried in the flowerbed, buried in the bedsheets, with the baked beans at the grocery store, with the cat food in the grocery store (of course! :)) , next to the fish at the pet store, at the babysitters house, etc. etc. One day, Brown Kitty could not be found. We looked and looked for him, but to no avail. Poor Eva was crying her eyes out night after night, so after 2 days of this, I went onto Ebay and found another Brown Kitty and as a bonus, there were 2 of them in this package of Micky D toys! So when I FINALLY got it, I opened it up and put one of the kitties on her bed. When she went to bed that night, she said, "Oh look! It's Brown Kitties cousin coming for a visit". Gerald said we should have buried it in the sandbox first, then the flowerbed next, then walk around with it in our dirty, sticky hands for 3 or 4 days, THEN given it to her. He said the new one was just tooooo clean, and he was right! The next day, I said to Gerald that the only place we hadn't looked was in the couch. So we took the cushions off and felt around and found out that there was a hole in there and besides Brown Kitty, we also found the phone and the vcr remote (to the vcr that we threw out!) that we had lost at the other house! yup, that's right, the couch moved to the new house and kept all it's "treasures" lol. So, Eva was overjoyed that Brown Kitty was found. Sometime later, we went out to eat and during dinner, it started to pour, so Gerald brought the car to the door so Eva & I wouldn't get wet. About half way home, Eva asks the question that sends Gerald & I into a panic almost immediatly -"Where's Brown Kitty?" I said that she was holding it when we left the restaurant, so where was it? I did a quick search of her, and he wasn't there! So Gerald turned around and 20 min's later, we were back at the restaurant and as we were pulling into the parking lot, we could see a lump in the middle of the parking lot right were our car was when we got in! So I ran out and got Brown Kitty, who by this time was soaking wet. Eva wanted Brown Kitty really badly, so I gave him to her and she held on tight all the way home and into bed. When she was finally asleep, I put him in a lingerie bag and washed and dried him. So the new rule in the house was that Brown Kitty could no longer leave the house, he was waaaaaay to important! So now he disappears amongst the toys now and again, but show's up when Eva's upset and needs a lovey. So two years later, he's still on her bed (ususally), along with Orange Kitty and Susie Kitty. Orange Kitty was with her when she had to have her tonsils and adnoids removed and she still wears her "collar" from the hospital. She has to have tubes put back into her ears, so Susie Kitty is going this time. And even though Brown Kitty doesn't get to leave the house anymore, he enjoys the tales from Orange Kitty and Susie Kitty.

"Magic Water"

So, I needed to put a new tablet in the toilet tank and I remembered that I had gotten one from the goody box of cleaning supplies from my cousin, who works at Johnson Wax. I hadn't used it because it's blue and I had heard bad things happen when a pet or kid drinks the blue water, but since that isn't a problem, I went ahead and used it. So Eva, who is still in the process of potty training, went into the bathroom by herself, she lifted up the lid and screamed! Yes, screamed. She looked at me and said, "Mom, the water is BLUE!!" I told her yes, but it was ok and she could still use the potty. NO WAY! We had to use the potty upstairs every single time she had to go potty!! Daddy comes home and takes her into the bathroom before I get a chance to tell him the blue water freaks her out. So of course, she screams and starts crying! He tells her that it's "Magic Water" and that any poop or pee in it won't smell bad! And she buys it! Now she'll use the downstairs potty and thank god because I was getting tired of going up and down the stairs.
